The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Agriculture recommends this Dietary Guidelines for good vision.
- Lots of fruits, vegetables and whole grains
- Fat-free or low-fat milk and milk products
- Include lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs and nuts.
- Should be low in saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, salt (sodium) and added sugars. High-calorie and low-nutrient foods can be harmful to both the body and eyes.
